FAQ’s

Are tub dimension/plumbing spec sheets available?

Yes. Email us which tub(s) you are interested in and we will send the appropriate spec sheets. We will also provide specs for the hardware included with our Accessories Package upon request.

How difficult are the tubs to set up in regards to plumbing?

Tub plumbing is similar to hooking up a bathroom or kitchen sink, except that it is generally easier due to much better access. We recommend that the final water connections be done with flexible hoses and shut-off valves as used for washing machines. This prevents water-line damage due to any vibration that could occur with a large dog, etc., and allows adjustment of the leg levelers. Stainless-steel braided hoses are preferable over all-rubber ones due to greater durability.

How does your warranty compare to others?

Our warranty is the best in the industry by far! Most tubs have a 1-year warranty (and customers are responsible for shipping costs both ways for repairs). Ours have a 10-year warranty which even includes 3 years of onsite repair followed by 2 years of no shipping-cost repair!

Are Poly Pet Tubs made in the USA?

YES! Not only are our tubs made entirely in the U.S., the material they are made of, the rubber floor and ramp mats, spray units provided with the “X” models, etc. are all made in the U.S. as well!

How should the tubs be cleaned?

The molecular structure of the material used in the construction of our tubs makes it easy to clean surfaces without harsh chemicals. The mildest cleaning products will generally do the job effectively. Cleaning can typically be done with soap and water. As a matter of fact, good results can generally be obtained with nothing more than water pressure or rubbing with a wet towel or sponge. A 1:30 bleach solution (1 part bleach to 30 parts water) has been proven to be a sufficient concentration for killing such pathogens as canine parvovirus (CPV) disease.

Bathroom/kitchen products with a number of chemicals in them (e.g., Clorox, etc.) are not only unnecessary, but are also not recommended because they may affect rubber (e.g., mats) and may contain chemicals not good for pets.

I've heard that bleach should not be used on stainless-steel tubs. How about Poly Pet Tubs?

HDPE, the material our tubs is made of, is not damaged by bleach. Be sure to thoroughly rinse after use so that pets are not affected.

Do you ever offer discounts/sales?

We have held our prices down for years, even with our costs going up, without sacrificing quality in any way. Our tubs were a good deal when we first began, and are an even better deal now. So we don’t play around with pricing and we charge everyone the same. We do offer a discount on purchases of 5 or more tubs. We have on occasion listed tubs discounted due to cosmetic flaws.

Why do your tubs have higher splash walls than other tubs?

While higher splash walls mean more material required and more time and labor to build, we don’t want to skimp in that area because it makes a big difference in regards to keeping water and hair contained during baths, as well as making it easier to keep dogs maintained inside the tub. Our side walls are especially larger than on most other tubs for these reasons.

What should I expect in regards to delivery?

We email customers complete shipping information the day tubs ship, including tracking info and expected day of delivery. Call-Before-Delivery service is included (at no charge), which means the freight carrier calls to notify customers regarding day of delivery. In addition, Liftgate Delivery is also included (at no charge), which means the carrier delivers with a truck that has a hydraulic lift to get tubs off the truck–which normally would be a significant additional charge. Inside delivery is available if requested (additional charge applies).

Where do you ship to?

We ship all over the U.S. and Canada, and are also able to ship to some other countries.

How much is shipping?

We receive competitive shipping rates from our carrier, and only charge customers what we have to pay. Shipping costs vary by location, number of tubs, and tub model. As mentioned above, Call-Before-Delivery and Liftgate Delivery are included at no cost to customers. Shipping quotes are available upon request.

Shipping costs on the website are estimated based on typical averages. When actual shipping to some locations is more, we pay the difference unless it is a significant amount, in which case we notify the customer regarding the extra amount due before processing the order. If actual shipping is less, we issue a refund.
